Hello, I'm Till, the co-founder of råbowls.
The vision for råbowls took root during my academic journey when navigating a healthy lifestyle amidst a demanding schedule seemed like an unattainable dream. In the midst of exams, faced with the choice of ready-made supermarket meals or quick snacks from fast-food chains, I dreamt of a sanctuary—a place where one could savor carefree, healthy, and, above all, swift meals. A place that seamlessly marries the convenience of fast food with the soulful essence of slow food. 🌱💚
At the age of just 21, together with Tristan and without prior experience in business or gastronomy, without investors and without superiors, I founded Råbowls, driven by youthful ambition. After countless hours and armed with a modest €35,000, we opened Råbowls in May 2018, and the success was overwhelming. The concept not only garnered the attention of local media agencies, including Dutch Vogue, but the demand was often more than Till and Tristan could handle. From the first day, it was palpable that the concept resonated and attracted a diverse group of health-conscious customers.
Despite the initial successes, we recognized that significant challenges still lie ahead. Groningen, a small rural city, seemed perfect for students and the local population. However, the concept of råbowls did not attract these groups. As a high-quality, urban, and innovative concept, we lacked young urban professionals who ideally suited our target audience.
We selected the metropolis and our hometown of Hamburg as an outstanding city to enter the German market. Our store successfully opened in July 2021, laying the foundation for a larger expansion into other major German cities. This not only marks a new beginning but also the first step on an inspiring journey that will carry our concept into even bigger cities and hearts. We are ready to shape the culinary landscape and inspire people across Germany to lead a healthy and flavorful life. Welcome to the era of råbowls in Germany!
