Hello, I'm Till, the founder of råbowls.

The vision for råbowls began to take shape during my academic journey when maintaining a healthy lifestyle amidst a hectic schedule often felt impossible. Between exams and assignments, I found myself torn between supermarket-ready meals and unhealthy fast-food options. It was during these moments that I dreamt of something different—a sanctuary where one could enjoy healthy, delicious meals that were fast, yet soulful. A place that blended the convenience of fast food with the nourishing essence of slow food. 🌱💚

At just 21 years old, without prior experience in business or gastronomy, I founded "Rå" as my first venture, driven by youthful ambition and a deep passion for healthy, sustainable living. Armed with a modest €35,000 and a determination to make a difference, I opened the doors in May 2018. The concept was simple yet powerful: healthy bowls that tasted as good as they looked. The response was overwhelming. Local media outlets, including Dutch Vogue, took notice, and the customer demand was so strong that managing it felt like a whirlwind from day one.

Despite its early success, "Rå" faced challenges. Groningen, a small and rural city, was not an ideal match for the concept's urban and innovative identity. The audience we hoped to reach—young urban professionals—wasn’t as prevalent there. It became clear that the vision deserved a larger, more suitable stage.

Inspired by these learnings, I took the lessons and the essence of "Rå" to my hometown, Hamburg, where I built a new chapter: råbowls. Hamburg, with its vibrant and dynamic culture, proved to be the perfect city to bring this refined concept to life. In July 2021, råbowls officially opened its first location in Germany, laying the foundation for future expansion across major cities. This marked not just a continuation but a bold new beginning for the journey I had started.

From these early experiences, I’ve developed a practical, hands-on approach to building råbowls. It’s a journey of learning, experimenting, and growing, with a relentless focus on creating value for the incredible community of loyal customers who believe in what we stand for.

Råbowls is on a mission to rethink fast food, proving that it can be convenient while still being healthy, sustainable, and uncompromising in quality. We reject the notion that fast food has to sacrifice health, taste, or sustainability. Instead, we aim to inspire change in the food industry—replacing unhealthy, unsustainable options with a concept that champions a better future.
